Mark your calendar for August 12 – 17, 2019 for an incredible tour of the Palouse during the wheat harvest. This is such a cool time to visit the Palouse. The Harvest is about a landscape turned gold with rolling hills of wheat ready to be harvested. The landscape is unique and dynamic as it changes every day. This provides us exceptional opportunities to get the best images. We will be out from dawn to dusk shooting and along the way enjoying wonderful meals and local culture. This is a 4 person workshop so you’ll have plenty of one on one time with me. We’ll visit places other workshops can’t go. And more than anything else we will have a lot of od fun doing it. So, sign up today and take a magical trip through the Palouse during the harvest. Hope you can make it.
August 5 -15th 2020 – Aboard The Quest
We are back and bigger than ever. Exciting times. So far this year we have had two great workshops. One in Japan and one in Antarctica. Our next workshops start this summer in the Palouse.
As you may know, we used to facilitate workshops for Luminous Landscape. At the beginning of this year, we have separated from LuLa and in addition, myself and the rest of my team there have joined me on a new venture to launch a new website for photographers photoPXL.com. This is an exciting project and we have a dream of making this site the go-to place for all of those that have a serious interest in photography. If you go to photoPXL.com you can sign up to be notified when we are ready to launch the site.
As you can see but maybe not in details the site will look different than what we were used to before. We have done a lot of engineering so you can find the content that appeals to you the most. We’ll have a lot of other cool feature too that we will highlight in future posts. We expect to launch our new site this May. If you are interested you can sign up at photopxl.com to be notified. In the meantime, we will be posting more often here and letting everyone know about our new workshops that are coming or soon to take place.

The 2016 Patagonia Workshop is now sold out. We will take names for a waiting list in case there are cancellations.
We have just added Peter Cox to our second Antarctica trip. Peter and I have worked together on a number of workshops and most recently the Svalbard double header that we just completed. Peter will round out our instructor line up giving attendees one of the most talented set of instructors every assembled for a workshop.
This is your chance not only to see an amazing part of the planet but also work with some of your favorite photographic instructors.
Daniel Bergmann, together with Kevin Raber, is leading our joint 2015 Ultimate Iceland Adventure (more information and booking details here).
A little about Daniel
Daniel was born and raised in Iceland and developed an interest in photography as a teenager. Combined with a strong interest in nature and travel it soon led him into the field of nature photography, which has been his passion ever since. Over the past two decades Daniel has built his reputation as a nature and landscape photographer, and in 2009, was invited to participate in the distinguished Wild Wonders of Europe project.
The 2015 Ultimate Iceland Adventure
This itinerary puts a major focus on the Highlands, a remarkable part of Iceland and includes aerial photography from a helicopter. As always in Iceland, the weather will be unpredictable and variable and we’ll have sunshine, rain and wind and probably a bit of everything else. But the dramatic weather is just what makes for fantastic photographic opportunities.
The Luminous Landscape has conducted four previous Antarctic photographic expeditions and workshops. In January and February 2015 we will be producing our fifth and sixth trips to the world’s most spectacular imaging location. These two trips, each lasting a week, will be taught by six of the world’s finest photographic instructors (one instructors will switch out for each trip, see below). This is a dream team of photographic experience.

We are headed north. Luminous-Landscape has announced two back to back workshops this july. Come aboard the M/S Malmo and travel in a wall boat experience to the arctic circle. We will be photographing wildlife and landscapes with a focus on the polar bear.
